Therapeutic Service Fees for 2023

Individual Psychotherapy Sessions: 

These rates apply to sessions in person, online, and outdoors. I offer small discounts for sessions longer than 60 min. 

  • $130.00 for 60 min
  • $156.00 for 75 min
  • $182.00 for 90 min


For clients facing financial barriers to accessing services, a sliding scale fee structure may be available depending on your needs and my availability. At this time my low cost and sliding scale spots are full, however please check out my resources page for information on low-cost therapy options in Tkaronto.

Psychotherapy Groups and Embodied Arts Facilitation Groups: fees vary per group, and will be advertised among other group information. More information can be found here.

Custom Embodied Arts Facilitation Group Sessions: For custom group sessions, my fees start at $150.00/hr for a group larger than 2 people.

Transparency: Why are fees for psychotherapy so high? 

Fees cover our time together, as well as additional expenses such as art materials, video conference and other practice software, and office rent. For each hour of time spent with a client, I set aside an extra 1-2 hours engaging in preparation, reflection, administrative tasks, supervision, and training activities. As a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), I also budget funds for regulatory college registration, liability insurance, professional development, and ongoing clinical supervision to ensure I am continuing to provide services in an informed, responsible, and ethical way.

I endeavor to keep fees as low as possible, to offer a sliding scale, and to also offer occasional group programs with a lower fee.

A small percentage of my earnings goes towards organizations/collectives supporting healing for Indigenous, Black, and global majority folks.


To avoid surprises or disappointment, it is recommended that you check with your insurance provider before starting therapy, to ensure they will cover psychotherapy services if you intend to claim your sessions. I will provide a receipt after each session that can be used for this purpose.

Unfortunately at this time psychotherapy services are not publicly funded under OHIP in Ontario, unless delivered under a psychiatrist or General Practitioner (GP). In order to claim sessions with me, you will need to verify that your insurance covers services delivered by a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

Complementary Initial Consultation

I provide a free 20 minute consultation by either phone or zoom, as a chance for us to meet and learn if somatic expressive arts therapy together might help support your therapeutic goals.

Intake Session

After we have agreed to try therapy together, you will receive an online intake form, practice policies, and consent form which explains further details about my practice. In our first session we will go over these forms to support answering any questions, setting some initial goals for therapy, and building a therapeutic relationship together.


It is recommended to pre-book sessions in order to maximize the benefits of consistency and ensure that I have the availability to support you.

Client Files

I value flexibility and collaboration and will always try to work with you to meet your needs. However, in the event that I haven't heard from you in two months, I will send an email asking if you would like to continue with therapy. If I don't hear back (or we haven't created a plan together) your client file will be closed. If you wish to re-activate services after this time, I will certainly do my best depending on availability. In accordance with professional practice standards, all closed files will be securely kept for 10 years (or 10 years after a youth's 18th birthday).

Cancellation Policy

While I certainly appreciate the unpredictability and busyness of life, late cancellations create a gap in my schedule which could have been used to support another client. Please know that a cancellation fee applies for late cancellations and 'no show' appointments, which is outlined in our intake agreement.

Receipts cannot be submitted to insurance providers for reimbursement unless the session has been delivered and attended. I appreciate efforts to reschedule/cancel with at least 24 hours notice, and in a true emergency will make an exception to the cancellation fees. If you have specific accessibility needs, I am open to having a conversation about a more flexible/supportive cancellation policy.
